TBW Rewind
July 31st 2010
July 31st 2011
I’ve been doing this blog long enough to go back not one but two years now. You know what they say, time flies. I still have that dress in the 2010 picture. I just can’t seem to let it go even though I feel silly wearing such a par-tay dress. Who knows, maybe it will make another appearance.
The second picture was from last year at the Ohio State...

moving on up
Hi! I’m (still) in the process of moving. I feel like I have been moving for weeks, months, years. It’s grueling. Now I am a happy resident of Grandview and living with a boy and a dog. Boy being my good friend Dave and his dog being Magnus, a schnauzer. So far he has provided me with a lot of decorating ideas - pretty impressive for an animal.
I feel like...
Insane in da brain.
Shirt: J.Crew / Pants: Gap / Belt: H&M
Shoes: Steve Madden, DSW / Necklaces: thrifted & U.O.
When I left for lunch in this outfit I sat down in my car to realized that my zipper was down and one of the hooks on my bra was unhooked. HOW DOES THAT HAPPEN? That was directed to the first rather than the ladder.
This blog shouldn’t be called To Be Worn, it should be...
making the cut
Shirt: Target / Shorts: Gap Outlet
Bag: thrifted / Sandals: Steve Madden, DSW
I’m moving on Saturday and so far I have only packed one box out of my entire apartment. However, I have managed to get rid of A LOT of clothing, re-selling and making some cash ($$$) along the way. At least my closet won’t be that terrible to move this time.
These clothes managed to make the...
slowly but surely

Bag: Elliott Lucca, DSW / Scarf: thrifted / Shoes: Steve Madden, DSW
It’s nice to find the things you forgot you owned like this shirt, this is the point of cleaning. I’m still working on the whole getting organized now that I’m 25 thing - it’s a work in progress and so far my progress is like...
i wore this belt and pair of shoes all week.
Shirt: TJ Maxx / Jeans: Gap
Shoes: DSW / Belt: H&M
Believe it or not but it’s much easier to get ready in the morning with less clothes in my closet. And by less clothes I still have too many but my closet looks better. I don’t want to pack/move any of it. Looks like I will probably continue to wear this belt and shoes again all next week, and the week after, and so...
mini jackie k.
Shirt: LOFT, thrifted / Jeans: Gap / Belt: H&M / Flats: Steve Madden, DSW
So I’ve been taking pictures all week but have had no time to upload them on here. I’m in the process of moving out of my apartment and have been spending my evenings getting rid of bags and bags (and bags and bags) of clothing. I haven’t even started packing/going through anything else...

Smashion Interview
A few weeks ago the lovely people of Smashion asked if I would be interested in doing an interview with them. Little did they know, I love answering questions about myself.
You can read the interview (and my silly answers) here. This was a fun one!
Also, Smashion is awesome. It’s like a one stop website for everything thrifty. It’s dope.
no spills and lots of frills
Tank: Eddie Bauer Outlet / Cardigan: Urban Outfitters
Jeans: Limited, MJR Sales / Shoes: DSW / Necklace: Forever 21
At my ripe old age of 25 I have started wearing pants at my natural waist line - a la Audrey Hepburn. At the same time I don’t always tuck my shirts in so with this outfit I am left looking a little pregs - yep the top of the jeans is poking out and that straight...
lighting - oh my.
Tank: Old Navy / Cardigan: American Eagle, thrifted
Pants: Gap / Shoes: Sofft / Bag: Elliott Lucca
So I went and bought all these comfort shoes since I stand on my feet now all day and guess what? It doesn’t make a difference what shoes you buy. When you stand on hard floors all day your feet are just going to hurt. It’s the logic of life and flooring.
I’ve been...

Shirt: Target / Jeans: Gap Outlet
Sandals: Steve Madden, DSW / Earrings: Grandmothers
And now for my 90’s sitcom character photos:
I would like to say that I ran a few times during vacation but have not put on my running shoes since I crossed the Ohio border line. And since I have put a hold on my fitness I decided what better way to celebrate than eating Steak N’...
basically basic
Shirt: Old Navy / Pants: Gap Outlet
Belt: Gap Outlet / Watch: Target / Shoes; DSW
I’m happy to be back in the great state of Ohio. Vacation is nice but I like coming back to a routine and the north. I’m a Yankee.
I found these pants at an outlet mall in Destin and they fit perfect when I bought them. However, at the end of the day they became baggy and saggy which equals...
make your own glitter nail polish
I was reading this from The Beauty Department the other day and thought it was a good idea. I stocked up on some Martha Stewart glitter that I found a TJ Maxx a few weeks ago and now I have something to do with it! Read the whole tutorial here.

happy birthday america
Shirt & Shorts: Eddie Bauer Warehouse / Shoes: Steve Madden, DSW
I usually try and dress in all red white and blue (sucker for themes I am) but after seeing Moonrise Kingdom I really dug Bill Murray’s outfits and the whole Americana-ness of it all. So when I found these shorts at EBW last week for $12 I went for it. My friend even told me “ok Bill Murray”. Bill...
happy hour
Shirt: Eddie Bauer Warehouse / Sandals: Zara / Jeans: thrifted
Bag: thrifted / Earrings: F21 / Scarf: Gap
Last Wednesday I went out for happy hour in Grandview. It was cheap and delicious. However, why I decided to wear a scarf in the middle of June - I’ll never know.
I wanted these earrings last summer when U.O. had them but could never find them in green. So when I found them...
i'm on vacation!
I’ll be soaking up the sun in Panama City with my family for the next few days. I think I brought every bathing suit I own and can’t wait eat the most seafood. Sorry for the blurry photo above but I think it serves it’s purpose. I’ll still be posting because I’ve become obsessed with taking pictures in my daily life. Ok now I’m off to the pool. Later!
